  • The new DBA settings CLOUD_DEFAULT_PROJECT, CLOUD_DEFAULT_DISCIPLINE, CLOUD_ADMIN_ROLE, CLOUD_USER_ROLE and CLOUD_READONLY_ROLE are introduced with Service Pack 5 to support cloud user management (see CLOUD_ADMIN_ROLE, CLOUD_DEFAULT_DISCIPLINE, CLOUD_DEFAULT_PROJECT, CLOUD_READONLY_ROLE, CLOUD_USER_ROLE) (CR-MA-89737).

  • The new DBA setting COMP_PORTAL_INVITATION, introduced with Service Pack 4, is used to control whether invitations for the Portal are sent to all supplier contacts or only to the primary contact of a supplier (see COMP_PORTAL_INVITATION) (CR-MA85674).

  • The new DBA seetings SMTP_SECURE, SMTP_WALLET_PATH and SMTP_WALLET_PWD, introduced with Service Pack 3, are used to turn on/off SMTP over TLS/SSL (see SMTP_SECURE, SMTP_WALLET_PATH and SMTP_WALLET_PWD) (CR-MA88061).

  • The new DBA setting CUSTOM_APPL_MULTI_TAB_REFRESH, introduced with Service Pack 1, is used to control if the page is refreshed on duplicating a tab in a custom application of Smart Materials Web (see CUSTOM_APPL_MULTI_TAB_REFRESH) (TR-MA85541).

  • The new DBA setting START_WITH_PROJSUPS, introduced with 10.2 SP1, is used to control the visibility of suppliers on opening the Suppliers/Subcontractors screen (see START_WITH_PROJSUPS) (CR-MA-86285).

  • New DBA settings are introduced to enable 2FA (two-factor authentication) for Smart Materials Web (see 2FA_MODE, 2FA_TOKEN_VALIDITY) (CR-MA73330).

  • DBA setting 2FA_MODE changed and enhanced with additional options OFF, ALWAYS, RANDOM, IP_CHANGED, IP_NEW, EVERY_X_DAYS, EVERY_X_LOGINS. New DBA setting 2FA_X to define the number of days or logins (see 2FA_MODE, 2FA_X) (CR-MA65086).

  • The new DBA setting RESTRICT_UNDO_RESERVATION is used to control if existing material transfers prevent from undoing reservation runs (see RESTRICT_UNDO_RESERVATION) (TR-MA78975).

Version 2020 (10.0)

  • The new DBA setting VALIDATE_ATTACHMENT_URLS introduced with 2020 SP4 (10.0.4), is used to specify the setting to define validation on filenames of attachments in Smart Materials Web. This validation would occur for document types of Physical, Link and Hyperlink (see VALIDATE_ATTACHMENT_URLS) (TR-MA-76165).

  • The new DBA setting ATTACHMENT_ALLOWED_URLS introduced with 2020 SP4 (10.0.4), is used to define the attachment whitelist by specifying the list of URLs or UNC paths which are allowed when attaching files in Smart Materials Web. This validation would occur for document types of Physical, Link and Hyperlink (see ATTACHMENT_ALLOWED_URLS) (TR-MA-76165).

  • The 2-step file transfer used in Smart Materials Classic (Client > Application Server > HTTP to Database server) required the use of Java classes and correct configuration of three DBA settings. This has been replaced by webutil filetransfer to a BLOB in a database table. The corresponding DBA settings became obsolete and have been removed (CR-MA60621). The following DBA settings were removed:

  • The new DBA setting ESUP_VIEW_REPORTS can be used to enable a CIP when View Reports is used in Smart Materials Portal (see ESUP_VIEW_REPORTS) (CR-MA54897).

  • With the new DBA setting COMP_REG_PAR_APPROV you can control if during company registration approval invitation emails are sent to all members of an approval sequence to enable parallel approval (see COMP_REG_PAR_APPROV) (CR-MA65828).

  • The new DBA settings APX_PRINT_... are used in Smart Materials Web for configuration of APEX Office Print (AOP) (see APX_PRINT_DEBUG, APX_PRINT_SVC_MODE, APX_PRINT_SVC_TOKEN, APX_PRINT_SVC_URL).

Version 2016 R4 (8.4.0)

  • Obsolete DBA Settings CONTACT_URL and HOME_PAGE_URL removed (TR-MA54939).

  • Obsolete DBA Setting LOG_SESSION removed (CR-MA46841).

  • The DBA setting SERVLET_PATH was removed because it isn't needed anymore due to the use of webutil for file upload (CR-MA58082).

  • New DBA settings OSD_ULPOAD_DEST and OSD_UPLOAD_URL added, used for OSD (Over, Short & Damaged) import (see OSD_UPLOAD_DEST (see ) and OSD_UPLOAD_URL (see )) (TR-MA58933).

  • New DBA setting SUPPLIER_MG_QUALIFIED_DATE to control if Qualified Date is set for Hold and Potential classifications (see SUPPLIER_MG_QUALIFIED_DATE) (CR-MA57939).

  • New DBA settings COMPANY_PROFILE_APT and QUALIFICATION_APT to assign approval templates which are used to fill the approval sequence on submitting company profile and qualifications from Portal (see COMPANY_PROFILE_APT and QUALIFICATION_APT) (TR-MA59860).

  • Obsolete DBA setting GRAPHIC_DOWNLOAD_URL removed. The Graphic screens G.10.01, G.10.02, G.10.03 no longer use DBA settings GRAPHIC_DOWNLOAD_DEST and GRAPHIC_UPLOAD_DEST they use now WEBuTIL_DIR_AS and WEBUTIL_DIR_TS.

  • Excel interface does no longer use template files. The following obsolete DBA settings were removed:

  • With the new DBA setting SUPPLIER_QUALIFICATION_MODE, you can now control the display of the supplier Qualifications and Company Profile tab pages in the Companies screen. (see SUPPLIER_QUALIFICATION_MODE) (CR-MA32040).

  • With the new DBA setting ESUP_CCI_STATE, you can control the default value of the CCI radio group on the Quote Reference and Validity screen, when first opening a quote in Portal (see ESUP_CCI_STATE) (CR-MA47286).

Version 2016 R2 (8.2.0)

  • With the new DBA setting ESUP_QD_VALIDITY, you can now control if particular fields are mandatory on the Portal inquiry landing page. (see ESUP_QD_VALIDITY) (CR-MA32347).

  • With the new DBA setting CODE_OF_CONDUCT, you can now control if suppliers can only provide answers to company profile and qualification questions in the Portal after accepting the code of conduct. (see CODE_OF_CONDUCT) (CR-MA38253).

  • With the new DBA setting PROTECT_TAG_NUMBERS, you can now control if suppliers can only update tag numbers which they have created using the Split Tag functionality, but not tag numbers entered in Smart Materials. (see PROTECT_TAG_NUMBERS) (CR-MA32650).

  • With the new DBA setting RFI_DELETE you can control if Portal users are allowed to delete requests for information (see RFI_DELETE) (CR-MA40344).

  • With the new DBA setting APP_SERVER_FOR_ORA_REPORTS you can generate Smart Reference Data Oracle reports from Smart Reference Data Plus. For more information, see APP_SERVER_FOR_ORA_REPORTS .(CR-MA-40237)

  • With the new DBA setting DEFAULT_IMPORT_MODE, you can define the default processing mode for the Expediting Excel import (see DEFAULT_IMPORT_MODE) (CR-MA36322).

  • With the new DBA setting ESUP_PROTECT_OC you can protect other cost descriptions from being updated in the Portal (see ESUP_PROTECT_OC) (CR-MA42042).

  • With the new DBA setting ESUP_EXCL_TRAFFIC you can exclude the Traffic module from the Portal (see ESUP_EXCL_TRAFFIC) (CR-MA42042).
