The setting of WEBHELP_SERVER is only required when running Smart Materials without a web browser (which is possible since version 2016 R1 (8.1.0)). Furthermore, you must specify this DBA setting if the online help is located on a different server than the application server where the application is running on.
With this DBA setting, you define the hostname of the computer where the online help is stored. In most cases, it is the name of the application server, but it could also be on another machine.
To activate the use of https, prefix the WEBHELP_SERVER value with the string 'https://'.
The server providing the help must be setup to support https protocol.
