If you select a release note with packages in the tree, the Traffic Detail window opens where all packages of this release note are displayed as they have been defined on the P.70.74 Packages screen.

The display of the packages is ordered by:

  • exceptional material

  • heavy/oversized material

  • general cargo

Within these categories, the packages are ordered by package number.

If not all item shipments or not the complete quantity of an item shipment have been placed in packages, an additional package called 'NN' will be displayed. This package always has a quantity of 0 and x, y, and z dimensions of 0. The dimension unit displayed is the value of project default ZX_DIM. Its gross weight, total volume, freight tons, and transport costs are determined by the affected item shipments.

Package 'NN' will always be displayed as the last one.

The name/number of the package is displayed in the Package Number field. You can double-click in this field to open the PT.30.02 OSD for Packages screen. Or, you can use the pop-up menu in this field to open the P.70.74 Packages or PT.30.02 OSD for Packages screens.

If the gross weight of the package exceeds the value of project default ZP_EXC_WGT, or if its x-, y-, or z-dimension exceeds the value of ZP_EXC_X, ZP_EXC_Y, or ZP_EXC_Z, respectively, the material is regarded as exceptional and marked by a cyan background color for this field. If the gross weight of the package exceeds the value of ZP_MAX_WGT but is smaller than the value of ZP_EXC_WGT, the material is regarded as heavy and marked by a magenta background color. If the x-, y-, or z-dimension of the package exceeds the value of ZP_MAX_X/ZP_MAX_Y/ZP_MAX_Z but is smaller than the value of ZP_EXC_X/ZP_EXC_Y/ ZP_EXC_Z, the material is regarded as oversized and also marked by a magenta background color.

The Quantity field shows the quantity or number of packages. By default, a quantity of 1 is assumed. But to save time or if you do not have detailed information of the packages and their items, you can enter a quantity > 1 (or even of 0) and insert all items in only one package, although in reality the items belong to different packages. The quantity entered here is taken into account when calculating the total volume, weight, and freight tons.

The Gross Weight field shows the gross weight of the package for a quantity of 1, and for the unit predetermined by the release note the package is associated with. The unit of the gross weight is shown in the Weight Unit field. This unit is the setting of project default ZX_WEIGHT.

The x-, y-, and z-dimension of the package is displayed in the x/y/z Dimension fields, with its unit in the Dim Unit field. You can either enter the x-, y-, and z-dimension of a package and the volume is automatically calculated, or you set these dimensions to 0 and you will be allowed to enter the volume instead.

For the descriptions of the other fields, see Date Ranges.
