Define an OPI import job by entering a new record on the OPI 10.01 screen.

Select the job type from the dropdown list in the Job Type field; it defines how you want to use OPI:

  • OPI - You use OPI to insert or update orders and adjacent objects. This type of job is based on XML files.

  • OPI - Excel - You use OPI to insert or update orders and adjacent objects. This type of job is based on Excel files.

  • Split Tag Import - You use OPI to load detail tags. This type of job is based on ASCII files.

  • CIP ASCII - You use OPI to insert or update orders and adjacent objects. This type of job is based on TXT files.

  • CIP DATA - You use OPI to insert or update orders and adjacent objects. This type of job is based on the M_OPI_IMPORT_STRINGS table.

  • CIP XML - You use OPI to insert or update orders and adjacent objects. This type of job is based on XML files.

Click the Upload button to transfer files from your file system to the web server.

If the job type is 'OPI', 'OPI - Excel', ‘CIP ASCII’, or ‘CIP XML’, enter the file name with a file extension. This extension must be .xml, .xls, or .txt. If the job type is Split Tag Import, supply only the name and not a file extension. The file will be assigned .dat as the extension.
