The import program writes an error log file with information about the import process. The name of this log file is generated by the system and ends with ".log."

If a warning or an error occurs, the program also creates an error file with the same name as the log file but with the suffix ".err." The special benefit is that this warning and error file can be used as a new import file after the error containing data has been modified manually. The warnings and error messages in this file begin with a special sequence of characters that instruct the program to ignore the whole line as a comment. However, we recommend that you delete or modify these messages before importing this file because otherwise old and new messages cannot be distinguished if the new import process creates any new warnings or error messages (because comment lines are written to the error file as well).
