The Excel export feature uses templates, which are defined on the A.10.61 Excel Templates screen.
Sample templates for each type are delivered with the software. For an overview of the available templates, see Templates. They can be used out-of-the-box or adjusted to your needs. Additionally, you can create your own templates from scratch.
You can click the Download button to create a SQL script containing the complete definition of the selected template. This script will be needed by the support in case of problems regarding the Excel export/import feature, caused by changing the standard template.
In the first (Templates) block, the name of the template and the type are displayed. The type specifies, where the template can be used. The available types are listed below.

In the second (Template Sheets) block, the sequence and the name of the sheets are specified.
On the Template Cells tab, all cells are specified that are used on the selected sheet.
The values in Row and Column define the row and column numbers in the sheet where this cell is placed.
The Type specifies the data type of the cell. The available types are:

CHAR - placeholder for a character field
-
DATE - placeholder for a date field
-
NUMBER - placeholder for a number field

TEXT - fixed text
For NUMBER and DATE fields, you can define a specific format the Format field (see the Microsoft Excel documentation for allowed formats).
For TEXT fields, the Content field shows the text as it appears in the cell. For CHAR, DATE or NUMBER fields, the data source (table column) is displayed, enclosed with # # (the data will be imported to Smart Materials) or * * (the data will not be considered during import).
The Cell Name field shows the name of an Excel cell to be set by the software.
The used character set can be specified in Font and Size, the default is Arial 10. Make sure that you enter only values that are supported by Excel.
The text color is specified in the Rgb field. Use the hexadecimal representation of the RGB values.
Select Bold, Underline, Italic, Wrap Text, if any of these text properties should be applied.
The background layout of the cell is defined in the Fill Style and Fill Rgb fields. Use the hexadecimal representation of the RGB values.
Use Horizontal and Vertical drop-down lists to define the position of the text in the cell.
To define cell frame, use the Border Top, Border Bottom, Border Left and Border Right drop-down lists.
On the Column Width tab, you can specify the width of each column on the selected sheet.
