On the C.20.21.11 MIR for Plates screen, you can create a MIR with type BOM Issue to issue a plate against the Bill of Materials (BOM). To this MIR you can assign an overissue warehouse, a location, and a scrap warehouse.

  1. Open the C.20.21.11 MIR for Plates screen.

  2. Click Cancel Query to switch to insert mode.

  3. Select BOM Issue in the MIR Type box.

  4. Select the material issue date in the Issue Date box.

  5. Select a company in the Company box.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Populate List Node. Alternatively, click List of Values in the Ident Code box, select the idents you want to add, and click Fill In.

  8. Type the quantity you want to issue in the Issued Qty box. The Issued Qty box displays in magenta if the issued quantity of this plate is greater than the total quantity of the corresponding BOM list positions.

  9. Double-click in the Issued Qty box to open Window 3 to define overissue plates for the selected (master) plate.

  10. Click Create default plate to insert a default plate number and heat number using the CIP procedures m_pck_plates_custom.create_default_plate and m_pck_plates_custom.create_default_heat.

    • The Create default plate button is only enabled on MIRs with revision 0 that are not posted.

    • On a MIR revision greater than 0 it is not possible to define new overissue plates or change the overissue plate dimensions. You can only delete plates or insert plates from revision 0 using the list of values on Plate Number.

  11. Type the plate dimensions in the X-dim and Y-dim boxes. The Overissue Qty calculates automatically.

The total quantity of all overissue plates must not be greater than the overissue quantity of the master plate. Otherwise, a warning message is displayed.

  12. Click Save, and close Window 3.

  13. Click Post.

    • When you post an MIR, a scrap record is entered automatically if the overissue quantity of the master plate is greater than the total quantity of the defined overissue plates. The plate number and the dimensions are copied from the master plate, and this record is marked as scrap material, indicated by the selected Scrap check box.

    • When you post a MIR, overissue plates are deleted if the issued quantity of the corresponding master plate was set to 0.

    • When you create a MIR revision greater than 0, the defined overissue plates are copied from previous revision. Scrap records are not copied.
