Define already existing attributes [from the A.50.01 screen] or enter new attributes manually in the unit set attributes block. Unknown attributes shall be created.

Project-Default Attribute (Defined in A.20.11, A.20.12 or A.20.13):

The following default attributes are used in creating PLLs:

  • ZX_ATR_TYP – Used to define an attribute type for a new attribute.

  • ZB_UNIT_ID – Used to define a unit of measure for a new attribute.

  • ZX_PRESS – Used to define a pressure unit for a new line.

  • ZX_TEMPER – Used to define a temperature unit for a new line.

  • ZX_DN_UNIT – Used to define a DN unit for a new DN.

  • ZX_WT_UNIT – Used to define a WT unit for a new DN.

  • ZB_LS_UNIT – The default LS unit code for a reference in the BOM.

  • ZB_LS_LINE - The default LS line code for a reference in the BOM.

PLL Units Block Fields

This block is query-only. You can use LOV functionality to make the selection for the following fields:

  • Unit Name: Select ( LOV ) or enter name (Code) of the process unit.

  • Short Description: Short description for the process unit.

  • Reference in BOM: Reference in BOM ( [B.20.01] - Edit BOM).

Process Lines Block Fields

If you add a new process line, a set of default attributes that were defined to this process unit in the template [see the A.10.04 screen] are inserted automatically.

If a new line is inserted and the pressure unit, temperature unit, DN unit, and WT unit are empty, these fields are populated with the project default data defined in the A.20.11, A.20.12 or A.20.13 screens (parameter codes according to ZX_PRESS, ZX_TEMPER, ZX_DN_UNIT, and ZX_WT_UNIT).

The Process Lines block contains the following fields:

  • Line - Name of the line. This field must be entered in upper case. Attributes available by double-click.

  • Status - Short name describing the status [defined in the L.10.01 screen]. LOV is available.

  • Spec Header - Specification header name [see the S.50.03 screen]. LOV functionality is available. You can use LOV to display spec headers with max revision number. If a higher revision number for spec header exists, the background will be red. This value must be entered in upper case.

  • Fluid Code - A code selected by the user to identify the fluid [see the S.60.02 screen]. LOV functionality is available. This value must be entered in upper case.

  • Design Pressure – The design pressure.

  • Oper. Pressure - The operating pressure.

  • Pressure Unit - The unit of measures for pressure [see the A.10.12 screen]. LOV functionality is available.

  • Design Temperature - The design temperature.

  • Oper. Temperature – The operating temperature.

  • Temperature Unit – The unit of measures for temperature [see the A.10.12 screen]. LOV functionality is available.

  • Short Description - Short description for the line.

  • Description - Long description for the line.

  • From Location - From location.

  • To Location - To location.

  • Reference in BO – The reference in BOM ([see the B.20.01 screen] - Edit BOM).

Translated Descriptions

The Translated Descriptions screen allows language-dependent descriptions of the line.

Valid Smart Materials language codes covering all projects and product groups are defined in the A.10.01 - Languages module.

The following fields are present on the Translated Descriptions screen.

  • NLS - The unique identifier for the national language.

  • Short Desc – A language-dependent short description for the line.

  • Description - A language-dependent long description for the line.

Process Line Attributes Fields

If you add a new process line, attributes defined previously in the template are automatically inserted.

Attributes are free to assigned and can be different and individually for each Line. If Attributes does not exist in [A.50.01 screen] it will be created automatically.

You can use existing attributes that have already been defined using the A.50.01 screen or enter new attributes manually in block unit set attributes. Unknown attributes will be created.

If a new attribute is inserted and the unit of measure field is empty, the attribute type and the unit of measure are filled with the project default data defined in A.20.11, A.20.12 or A.20.13 screens (parameter codes according to ZX_ATR_TYP and ZB_UNIT_ID).

The following fields are on the Process Line Attributes screen.

  • Order by - Sorting rule for this blocks.

  • Seq - Sequential order number.

  • Group - The Group field is of type Code, which means this is a
10-character alphanumerical value representing a unique identifier for this commodity group. Examples of this code would be Pipe, Valve, Flange, and so on. LOV functionality is available. This value must be entered in upper case.

  • Attribute Name - Enter or select via LOV the name (code) of an attribute [see the A.50.01 screen]. This value must be entered in upper case.

  • Label Text - A short description of the selected attribute.

  • Attribute Value - Attribute value. LOV functionality is available.

  • Attribute Unit - Attribute for the unit of measures [see the A.10.12 screen].

  • Constraints - Enforce constraints. Valid values are Yes or No. The selection here impacts the loading. If Constraints is set to Yes, loading of the line shall be rejected if value for the attribute is not within the defined constraints.

  • Owner – Is valid if Attributes are used in the Line List that do not have an entry in the template and also do not have an owner, then the attributes can be modified by every discipline. Once an Attribute is owned by a discipline only this discipline may modify it.

Nominal Diameters Fields

DN represents the Nominal Diameter in which the line exists. If the nominal-size table name [in L.10.03] exists, Nominal Diameters for this Process Unit are used to control against these table values. LOV functionality is available.

Attributes are available by double-click.

The following fields are present in the Nominal Diameters block.

  • DN Unit - DN unit of measures [see A.10.12].

  • Wallthickness - Wallthickness/Schedule. If the schedule table name in [L.10.03] exists, WT for this Process Unit will be to control against this table values. LOV functionality is available.

  • WT Unit - WT unit of measures [see A.10.12].

  • Comment - Optional comments.

Nominal Diameter Attributes

See Process Line Attributes.

Process Line List Branches Block Fields

Branch diameters have the following constraint: only diameters which exist in the line belonging to this branch are allowed to be entered. Only smaller and equal diameters.

The following fields are present in the Branches block.

  • Diameter - Nominal Diameter of the branch.

  • Reinforcement code - Enter the name (code) of the reinforcement [see L.10.02]. LOV functionality is available.

  • Wallthickness Header - Wallthickness header.

  • WT Header Unit - Wallthickness Header unit of measures [see A.10.12]. LOV functionality is available.

  • Wallth. Branch - Wall thickness branch.

  • WT Branch Unit - WT Branch unit of measures [A.10.12]. LOV functionality is available.

  • Branch Type – The type of branch. LOV functionality is available. This value must be entered in upper case.
