The application server needs a static IP address.

Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

Click Change adapter settings.

Right-click on Ethernet.

Select Properties on the context menu.

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Click the Properties button.

Add an IP address.
Ask your local IT-department which IP-address is available.

Click OK and close the control panel.

Open the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file with an editor.

Add the IP-address with the following syntax:
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX < Fully-Qualified Host Name>
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX < Fully-Qualified Domain Name>The picture below shows an example.

Save and close the editor.
