If the Portal does not start, do the following:
Check DBA Setting
The COMP_REG_QLF DBA setting must be specified to run the Portal. If this DBA setting is not specified, an error message is displayed and the Portal login screen will not open. See COMP_REG_QLF for more information.
Check Web Configuration Files
In case you have problems launching the Portal, check the web configuration files config.xml and web.config.
Config.xml
The config.xml file contains some application settings that administrators can set. This file is located in the server installation directory:
Default installation: c:\Program Files\Intergraph\Smart Materials Portal 10.1\Web\PortalClient\ClientBin
Custom installation: <your_install_folder> \Smart Materials Portal 10.1\Web\PortalClient\ClientBin
Check the web server name:
Check the <fileTransferSupportFiles> setting. It must be the same as the FileTransfers location, without trailing forward slash at the end.
Web.config
The web.config file contains some application settings that administrators can set. This file is located in the server installation directory:
