It is possible to allow only specific users to see the attribute and its value (perhaps it is cost sensitive) by assigning it to a view that the specific users see. By default, all attributes are added to the default view and if security is required a specific view will be created. Here we add the attribute to the default view so all users can see it after it is assigned to a BOM.
