Perform the following steps to enter pricing details:

  1. Click Quotation Details - Prices on the menu.

For the item status see Complete a bid for a line item.

  2. If required, change the Quoted Quantity and the Quantity Unit.

  3. Optionally, select a price type from the Unit Price Type list.

The unit price type is intended to be used for spare parts only. This means, the spare parts are listed together with the equipment for which they are needed. With the unit price type you specify how you deal with these spare parts. By default, the unit price has no type. The following values are available:

    • Including - The spare parts are delivered with no extra costs

    • Excluding - The spare parts are not included and have to be ordered separately

    • No Quote - The spare parts are not included and the bidder does not provide a quote

    • Not Required - The spare parts are not needed

If you select a unit price type, you cannot enter a unit price.

  4. Enter the price in the Unit Price cell.

If you enter a unit price, you should not enter a supply price or install price, because this would overwrite the unit price.

  5. Update the Extended Price if necessary.

    • The price value is calculated by the software.

    • If the Extended Price is imported from an Excel sheet, the Extended Price might be recalculated and corrected based on the Unit Price.

    • If the price base is set to QTY-UNIT, the extended price is calculated as the product of the quantity with the unit price.

    • If the price base is set to WEIGHT-UNIT, the extended price is calculated as the product of quantity, unit price, and unit weight.

    • If you update the extended price, the unit price is recalculated taking the price base into account.

    • Discounted Price shows the discounted price, which is the extended price reduced by the discount.

  6. Enter the supply price of a single item in the Supply Price cell.

  7. Enter the installation price of a single item in the Install Price cell.

    • If you provide the supply price and the installation price, the software calculates the unit price as the sum of the supply price and installation price, and the unit price cannot be changed.

    • Gross Other Costs shows the sum of all other costs that are attached to this line item, without discounts. Evaluation costs are not included in the gross other costs.

    • Net Other Costs shows the sum of all other costs that are attached to this line item, including discounts. Evaluation costs are not included in the net other costs

    • Only discounts that are marked as being discountable are applied to other costs.

    • Net Price shows the net price of a quote detail; the net price is the sum of the discounted price and the net other costs.

  8. If required, change the currency in the Currency cell.

  9. Select a price type from the Price Base list.

    • You can select QTY-UNIT (quantity unit) or WEIGHT-UNIT.

    • If the price base is Weight-Unit, the costs are calculated using the unit weight and the quantity; otherwise, the costs are calculated using the quantity only.

  10. Enter the weight details as follows:

    • Type the weight for one item in the Unit Weight cell.

    • Click Weight Unit LOV_Icon and select a unit of measure.

      • The Total Weight cell shows the total weight calculated based on the quantity and the unit weight.

      • If you update the total weight, the unit weight is recalculated.

  11. Enter a discount on the quote level using the Discount Base box. You can select Discount % or Discount Amount from the list.

  12. Enter the discount details as follows:

A discount can be defined either on the quote detail level using the Discount %/Discount Amount cells, or on the other cost level by entering a negative value in the Other Cost % cell.

    • Select the discount base from the Discount Base list.

The available values are Discount % and Discount Amount.

    • Type the discount percentage in the Discount % cell.

You can only provide a value if the Discount Base is set to Discount %. When a discount % value is provided, the discount amount is automatically calculated.

    • Type the discount amount in the Discount Amount cell.

      • You can only provide a value if the Discount Base is set to Discount Amount. When a discount amount is provided, the discount percentage is automatically calculated.

      • The discount is applied to the extended price of the quote detail.

      • The Other Cost Discount cell shows the amount of the discount defined on Other Costs and applied to the extended price of the quote detail.

  13. Enter restocking details as follows:

    • In the Restocking % cell, enter the percentage of the price in the event of cancellation.

If you type a restocking % value, the Restocking Price is calculated, based on the discounted price.

    • In the Restocking Price cell, enter the price for restocking the item in the event of cancellation.

If you type a restocking price, the Restocking % value is calculated, based on the discounted price.

    • In the Modification Price cell, enter the price to be paid if modifications are applied to the item.
