You can use the equipment rates option to specify the rates for equipment rental. Equipment rates define how much the equipment costs to rent for specific time periods, including mobilization and demobilization costs.

The Equipment Rate option is only available for subcontract inquiries.

  1. Click Financials - Equipment Rates on the menu.

  2. Click Add Row to create a new equipment rate.

  3. Click Rate Type LOV_Icon and select a rate type.

    Alternatively, type the rate type if it's not available in the list.

  4. Select the appropriate option in the Rate Group cell.

    If you have selected a rate type from the list, the group appears in the Rate Group box.

  5. Type the rate type description in the Short Description and Description cells.

    You can change the description that is populated from the selected rate type.

  6. In the Other cell, you can enter any additional information on the equipment rate.

  7. In the Mobilize/Demobilize cell, type the equipment mobilization/demobilization costs of the equipment rate in percent.

    Mobilization and demobilization consists of providing and removing all required equipment to and from the site. Additionally, mobilization and demobilization costs must include the installation and removal of all site facilities established for the project.

  8. Enter the equipment ownership costs per hour in the Per Hour cell.

    SHARED Tip For the equipment rented for the periods of less than a month usual approach is to utilize an hourly rate developed by dividing Blue Book monthly equipment rental rate by 176.

  9. Enter the equipment ownership costs per day in the Per Day cell.

  10. Enter the equipment ownership costs per week in the Per Week cell.

  11. Enter the equipment ownership costs per month in the Per Month cell.

  12. Click Save.
