On the Administration>Global Setup> Project Defaults page, you can define the project defaults (parameter defaults for the projects).
Most modules require that you define a specific setting here only, for example, the default list status that is assigned to BOM positions in the Bill of Materials> Maintain BOM - Edit BOM module.

Each tab consists of following columns:

Describes the level at which the setting is defined. For example, at product group or project or discipline level. If it is at discipline level,then it indicates that the project default is set at least for one of the corresponding disciplines. To know more, click the respective project default. |

To edit any setting, click Edit in the interactive grid.

To view the history of any project default, click the Parameter name.

You can copy the values of a project, by following these steps;

To copy values of any project, click Copy Value.

In the pop-up, from the LOV, select the required Project.

If you want to copy all the values, select Copy all values. Else, to copy only new values, select Copy only new PDs.

To continue, click Start, or click Cancel to close the pop-up..

You can check whether the values assigned to the project defaults are correct or not.To do so, follow these steps:

Click Check Value.

If there are incorrect values, a pop-up displays showing the affected project defaults.

Click OK to close it.

Open the respective project default, and make the changes.

To check it again click, Check Value.
