What is a Requisition Description Rule?

The MTO job automatically generates a requisition description. A requisition description rule is used to define the way in which this works. All requisition description rules must be assigned to the requisition template on the Requisition Template page. You can use any fixed text in combination with the predefined parameters to define the rule. You can also use all the properties that are defined under the Properties page under the Administration module, which are then replaced by the property values when creating the requisition description

  1. On the Home page, click Requisitions > Requisition Description Rules.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Enter the name of the rule in the Requisition Description Rule cell.

  4. Optionally, enter descriptions in the Short Description cell.

  5. Select the Requisition Description Rule Definition from the list.

    • You can define the rule by selecting properties and/or parameters from the select list. Additionally, you can also add free text. If you want to add parameters to the rule definition, select them from the list. The available parameters are:

      • #TEMPL-NLS-DESC#

      • #TEMPL-NLS-SHORT-DESC#

      • #MATGR-NLS-DESC#

      • #MATGR-NLS-SHORT-DESC#

      • #SET-DETAIL-NLS-DESC#

      • #SET-DETAIL-NLS-SHORT-DESC#

      • #PROJECT#

      • #DISCIPLINE#

    • The other values in the list are defined in the Properties page under the Administration module.

    • The parameters must be delimited by the special character #. This is done automatically when selecting the parameters from the select list. Free text must be entered without this special character.
