  1. On the Home page, click Site> Warehouse Management > Material Receiving.

  2. Click Create MRR.

  3. Select Agreement from the Create MRR by Receive type list, and click Create.

  4. Select an Agreement Number from the list in the MRR Details tab.

    The list displays agreements depending on the value of the project default ZC_ALL_PO.

    • ZC_ALL_PO = A - All approved purchase orders (PO) and notices of commitment (NOC)

    • ZC_ALL_PO = C - All approved and closed POs and NOCs

    • ZC_ALL_PO = O - All approved POs and NOCs with outstanding quantities, which means at least one line item exists with an expected quantity greater than zero.

    • ZC_ALL_PO = R - All approved POs and NOCs with at least one line item with an expected quantity greater than zero and that are not already received by an unposted MRR are shown on MRR by Agreement.

  5. Select the Receipt Date, and optionally type Short Description and Description in the MRR by Agreement Details section.

    You can select the Site Code only if the project default ZC_BIN_LOC is set to BLOC.

  6. Select a Warehouse and a Location from the list.

  7. Select a receipt status from the Receipt Status list.

  8. Optionally, type the name of the person who received the material in the Received By box.

  9. Optionally, select a Shipment Group from the list.

  10. Optionally, type the name of the company in the Shipper box and the shipper reference number in the Shipper Reference Number box.

  11. The Auto create OSDs check box can be selected only for un-posted MRRs with the revision 0. The default of this check box is controlled by the project default ZC_CR_OSDS. If the check box is checked, OS&Ds are created automatically when posting the MRR with the Post button. The OS&Ds will be created as 'Over' or 'Short'. There is no automatic update on OS&Ds. Only material that has already been posted to the inventory will be taken into account when deciding whether an OSD has to be created or not.

  12. Select only Release Note shipments check box to populate shipments of the assigned agreement that are present in the release note.

  13. The Ready for Approval check box gets enabled when there are line items in the MRR.

  14. Click Display Columns to view all the properties and CIPs of the MRR.You can also add/select Property and CIP Names by navigating from their respective tabs. For example, select a Property from the Display Properties tab and click Save.

    • Properties and Display Columns buttons are also displayed in the Inventory Receipts tab.

    • You can also add/edit custom properties using this window.

  15. Click Properties to view all the properties of the selected MRR. You can also attach properties by following method:

    • Click Add Row.

    • Select a Group, Property, and Value from the list and Save.

    • Alternately, click Add Property Set , select a property set and then click Copy to copy the property set to the group.

  16. Click Save.

  17. To add inventory receipt items, click Inventory Receipts tab.

  18. Click Line Items, select all the positions you want to add, and click Fill In.

    Border Line Items displays the line items of the selected agreement.

  19. Alternatively, click Populate Order to add all item shipments of the selected agreement with an expected quantity greater than 0.

    SHARED Tip Select No in the Ready To Post list, in order to not post the MRR(s). By default, it is set as Yes.

  20. Alternatively, if a shipment group is assigned to the agreement, click Populate Group to add all the item shipments assigned to the shipment group having an expected quantity greater than 0.

  21. If required, adjust the received quantity or other information, and save.

  22. Click Split Tag to create splits for order line items or item shipments.The new created split gets added to the Inventory Receipts tab.

    SHARED Tip To post the MRR, click on the MRR Details tab and click Post. To unpost the MRR click Unpost.

  23. Click Unique No to generate and assign heat numbers automatically. This button gets activated if the MRR has revision 0, unposted and the tag is unsplit. To generate the Unique Number perform the following:

    1. Select Selected to apply the changes to the selected inventory receipts item or select Queried to apply changes to all the queried items.

    2. Select Maximum to create multiple splits as the received quantity of the item. For example, if the received quantity is five, you would create five inventory items with a received quantity of one. Or select Selected and enter the number of splits you want to create. For example, if the received quantity is five, and you enter three in the box, you would create three inventory items, two with a received quantity of one, and one with the remaining three.

    3. Click Continue.

  24. Click Split Line to define the number of splits. Type the number of splits you want to make in the Split Line window and click No. of Splits box. All the information regarding Quantity for Split no, Split Item Ship Qty, and Recv Qty is displayed.

  25. Click Heat Number to add heat number to the MRR and do the following:

    1. Click Add Row.

    2. Type Heat Number, Quantity, and Certificate Number in their respective boxes.

    Sum of heat number quantities must not be greater than the received quantity.

    1. Optionally, type Manufacturer, and File Location.

    2. To attach properties to the heat numbers, click Properties and do the following:

      1. Click Add Row.

      2. Select a property group from the Groups list.

      3. Select a property from the Property list.

      4. Select a value from the Value list.

    3. To generate and assign a unique number to a heat number under each inventory line item, click Unique No. and do the following:

      1. Select Maximum to create multiple splits as the received quantity of the item. For example, if the received quantity is five, you would create five inventory items with a received quantity of one. Or select Selected and enter the number of splits you want to create. For example, if the received quantity is five, and you enter three in the box, you would create three inventory items, two with a received quantity of one, and one with the remaining three.

      2. Click Continue.

    • When the project default ZC_HEATQTY is set to 'Y', the following happens:

      • The heat number is unique for the whole project.

      • The total of the quantity of individual heat numbers received should match with the line item Received Quantity.

      • Once heat numbers are generated, you cannot update the Received Quantity as it should match the assigned heat numbers.

      • To update Received Quantity, you should delete all assigned heat numbers in the Heat Numbers window.

    • Only when the privilege UNIQUE_HEAT_ DETAILS is assigned, the Unique Number button is available in the Inventory Receipts window in the Heat Numbers grid.

    SHARED Tip Alternately, click Add Property Set , select a property set and then click Copy to copy the property set to the group.

  26. Click the link on the Tag Number cell to view/add the tag numbers:

    1. Click Add Row in the Inventory Receipt Tags window.

    2. Type the Received Quantity.

    3. Select a Tag Number from the list and Save.
