Mapping files are used for importing the data into the software in a neutral format
to facilitate comparison. You can define mapping for P&ID, PDMS and ISO data.
Four sample mapping files are delivered with the product at [Install Folder]\SmartPlant\P&ID Design Validation\Mappers folder:

DatalMapper.xml - You can use this file when importing PDMS data.

ISOMapper.xml - You can use this file when importing ISO data.

SppidMapper-PDMS.xml and SppidMapper-ISO.xml - You can use these files when importing Smart P&ID data.

SppidMapper - PDMS.xml is used to compare Smart P&ID data against PDMS data.

SppidMapper - ISO.xml is used to compare Smart P&ID data against ISO data.
