To add attributes to an element:

Right-click the element and select Add > Attributes.
The Add Attributes dialog box is displayed.

The following tabs are available in the Add Attributes dialog box:

General Attributes:
All the attributes of an element are displayed in the Attribute Name combo box. If the element already has attributes in the mapper file, then they are populated in the dialog box. You can modify the existing attributes or add new attributes. Select the attributes from the combo box and specify how you want to import that attribute under Mapped Attribute Name column.

Default Attributes:
If the element already has default attributes in the mapper file, then they are populated in the dialog box. You can modify the existing attributes or add new attributes. Select the attributes from the combo box and specify how you want to import that attribute under Attribute Value column. See Default Attributes in Mapping Attribute Names.

Default Attributes Below This level:
If the element already has attributes under DefaultAttributesBelowThisLevel section in the mapper file, then they are populated in the dialog box. You can modify the existing attributes or add new attributes. Select them from the combo box and specify how you want to import that attribute under Mapped Attribute Name column. Common Attributes Below This Level:
All the attributes of the element under the selected element are displayed in the Attribute Name combo box. Select the attributes that you want to add from the combo box and specify how you want to import that attribute under Mapped Attribute Name column.
