The Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini configuration file is delivered with the software. You can use this file to customize mapper file paths, 3D data file paths and correlation settings. The software automatically loads the settings defined in the .ini configuration file when you use respective import commands. By default the file is copied to the Settings folder at [Install Folder]\SmartPlant\P&ID Design Validation\Settings\Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini.

You can customize the settings in the .ini file as necessary. The following table

Report Type |
Specify the format of the report. Type Text, Excel, or Word if you want to extract reports in Text, Excel, or Word formats respectively. By default, the reports format is set to Word. |

Show Developer Log |
Create a developer log file in the temp folder. Type True if you want to create a developer log. Type False if you do not want to create developer log file. By default, the status is set to False. |
Show PipeRuns on 2D Side |
Show or hide the pipe runs in the 2D section of the Design Hierarchy Explorer. Type True if you want the pipe runs to be displayed. Type False if you want to hide the pipe runs. By default, the status is set to True. |
Show PipeRuns on 3D Side |
Show or hide the pipe runs in the 3D section of the Design Hierarchy Explorer. Type True if you want the pipe runs to be displayed. Type False if you want to hide the pipe runs. By default, the status is set to True. |
Show 3D Data in PDMS Hierarchy |
Display the 3D Data in PDMS hierarchy in the Design Hierarchy Explorer. Type True if you want 3D data to be displayed in PDMS hierarchy. By default, the status is set to False. |
Use RADControl to view P&ID Drawing |
Use either RAD Control or Smart P&ID application to view P&ID drawings. Type True to view the P&ID drawing in RAD control. Type False to open P&ID drawing in the Smart P&ID application. By default, the status is set to True. |
