During the installation process, you might receive an error stating that setup does not have permission to modify one or more registry keys. This procedure explains how to grant write permissions to the registry keys.

  1. Select Start > Run.

  2. Type regedit.exe, and select OK.

  3. In the left pane of the Registry Editor window, select to the appropriate registry key:

    For a 32-bit computer, select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intergraph\Applications registry key.

    For a 64-bit computer, select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intergraph\Applications registry key.

  4. Right-click, and then select Permissions on the shortcut menu to open the Permissions for Applications dialog.

  5. Select Advanced.

  6. At the bottom of the Advanced Security Settings for Applications dialog, clear the Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent option.

  7. To verify your change, select Remove on the security dialog that displays.

  8. Reselect the Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent check box.

  9. Select the Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object check box.

  10. Select OK and at the prompt, select OK again.

  11. Select OK.
