The Machining mode specifies how the software interprets elements when it creates cutting paths in the nesting work area. You specify the machining mode for the element to draw for the active drawing tool.

By default, the Machining mode is set to Basic Cutting. There are two exceptions. The default machining mode for Insert Text is Marking Text. The default machining mode Point is Marking Point.

Each machining mode uses a unique identification color to distinguish elements with a certain machining mode in the work area. Colors display in Parts and Nesting work areas.

SHARED Tip To change the default color, go to Main Menu > Settings > View > Line Colors and Widths.
