Use Scrap Cut to create additional cutting paths, and then cut the remaining plate in smaller pieces. After that, use Remnant to create remnants out of suitable pieces. Scrap cutting should be used only after nesting and cutting paths have been done.

Click Scrap Cut Scrap Cut ICON to display the Scrap Cut properties (see below) in the State Manager.

Types

Specifies how the software draws cutting paths. Select from the following types: Free, Orthogonal, and Continuous.

You must select either Free or Orthogonal to draw new cutting paths.

Free

Enables you to draw scrap cutting lines by free hand.

Orthogonal

Enables you to draw orthogonal scrap cut lines.

SHARED Tip Press SHIFT while drawing by free hand to use orthogonal drawing.

Parameters

Start and end advance length

Specifies the start and end advance of scrap cutting lines. Advance is the distance between scrap cutting lines and an uncut plate or part.

Options

Use Rapid Optimization

Creates the shortest possible rapid movement by swapping the start and end point of the scrap cutting line.

Show Cutting Sequence

Displays the cutting sequence on top of the cutting paths in the work area.
