The Bevels tab contains options and rules for inserting corner loops into bevel corners. The rules define the type of bevel corners support corner loops. You select rules using check boxes or the bevel rules table. The check boxes and bevel rules table correspond to each other. Selecting a rule from the bevel table automatically selects the corresponding check box. Some cutting technologies affect which bevel rules you can use on the bevel rules table.

All Combinations

Inserts corner loops for all bevel combinations for the selected cutting machine.

Straight Path - Bevel

Inserts corner loops for corners where the cutting continues from a straight path to a bevel.

Bevel - Straight Path

Inserts corner loops for corners where the cutting continues from a bevel to a straight path.

Bevel - Bevel, Same Type

Inserts corner loops for corners where the cutting continues from a bevel to another bevel of the same type.

Different Parameters Allowed

Inserts corners loops for corners where bevels of the same type have different parameter values for surfaces. This is a sub rule for Bevel - Bevel Same Type.

Bevel - Bevel, Torches Are Decreasing

Inserts corner loops for corners where the quantity of used torches decreases after the corner.

Bevel rules table

Displays the bevel type before the corner loop in the left column. The header displays the bevel type after the corner loop. See the figure below.

To insert a corner loop:

The example in the procedure below contains rules enabled to insert corner loops to corners where cutting continues from the K bevel to the Y bevel, and from the Y bevel to the Y bevel. Other options, (such as inserting corner loops to the Y bevel to the K bevel and from the K bevel to the K bevel) are not enabled.

For more information on the different bevel types, see Bevel.
