Custom Import for DXF and DWG files enables you to specify the machining mode and quality class for different elements and text objects by color, layer, or type. This is useful when you do not know whether the part to import uses an import set. You can also edit imported parts quickly and efficiently.
Filename
Displays the name of the file to import.
File name with path
Displays the path of the file to import.
Measurement
Specifies the unit of Measurement. Select Metric, Imperial, or File.
Metric
Measures the geometry in millimeters with no conversion. If the imported geometry
is in inches and Metric is selected, the inches are not converted.
Imperial
Measures the geometry in inches; the software converts other units of measurement.
File
Searches the DXF/DWG file for unit of measurement data, and makes the appropriate
conversions.
Move to origo
Moves the imported geometry to origo on the work area.
Explode annotations
Separates the annotation objects so that you can view the relationships between the objects.
Explode all elements
Explodes all drawing composite objects to the leaf objects.
Show Preview
Displays a preview image of the part to import in the work area.
Add files
Opens the default folder (defined by Set Default Folder). Browse for files to import, and click OK in File Explorer to add files to the Filename list. You can also drag files to the Filename list from File Explorer.
Set Default Folder
Sets the last folder you used as the default folder. The default folder opens when you click Add .
Remove
Clears the selected file from the Filename list.
Set selected tool to all

All
Zooms in or out to display the entire part.
Selected
Fits the selected objects to the view.
Confirm
Imports the files in the Filename list.
