Defines the basic parameters the software uses when importing a file.
Part recognition
Defines how parts are included in a file. The normal strategy is to include one geometry in a file. In some rare cases a file might contain multiple parts. If parts in a file are separated by the used layer or each part is included in a separate block. The Part recognition options enable you to automatically divide parts. The available options are:
File
Layer
Block
Multi parts file
Options
Contains commands for defining attributes in the geometry file. The software uses these attributes when saving the geometry file automatically.
Date format
Specifies how to define dates in attributes.
Measurement
Specifies the system of Measurement. Select Metric, Imperial, or File.
Metric
Measures the geometry in millimeters with no conversion. If the imported geometry
is in inches and Metric is selected, the inches are not converted.
Imperial
Measures the geometry in inches; the software converts other units of measurement.
File
Searches the DXF/DWG file for unit of measurement data, and makes the appropriate
conversions.
Disable 'Import and Save' button
Disables Import and Save if the geometry to save to the database does not work or is not compatible with the Cutting COM interface import (see Project Import).
Geometry Only
Allows the software to import only the geometry.
Overwrite existing parts
Allows the software to overwrite system data when automatically saving parts. Clear the check box to prevent the software from overwriting any data.
Hidden from import combo
Hides the import set in the import set combo.
Keep linemarking polylines as individuals
Retains line markings as individual lines during geometry profiling.
Ignore geometry attribute color
Imports all of the attributes using the default (cutting) machining mode and ignores the geometry attribute color set in Smart Production Cutting.
Ignore single-run bevels if angle £ than
Ignores single-run bevels if the bevel angle is less than or equal to the given limit of the angle.
Converter parameters string
Defines the string of command parameters to file converter application executing.
Text colors
Attributes
Contains commands for applying color to attribute information. Using colors to differentiate attributes helps minimize the possibility of misleading text.
Layer
Enables you to specify an attribute layer. Click the check box, and then select a layer from the list.
Color
Enables you to specify a specific color. Click the check box, and then select a color from the list.
Bevels
Applies color to bevels. Using color can help minimize errors with other texts in a DXF file. Select Any color or select Color and then select a color from the list. We recommend using the same color for a bevel and the corresponding cutting tool.
Bevel information included in files imported using DXF / DWG (Set) Import must be written into the drawing in a specific format. Otherwise, the software cannot automatically add bevel technology to profiles. For more information about bevel attributes, see Bevel attributes in import.
