Edge nesting displays a separate sub menu (see below) inside the Auto Nesting Frame frame.
Objective
Contains a list of objectives for the optimizer. The available objectives are described below.
Minimize X Then Y
Minimizes the x length, giving less importance to minimizing the y length.
Minimize Area
Minimizes the area of the bounding box of the last sheet.
Minimize Y Then X
Minimizes the y length, giving less importance to minimizing the x length.
Intelligent Minimize X
Minimizes the x distance after determining that the objective does not produce a bad solution (such as a long rectangular part oriented to minimize x).
No Reusable Offcut
Creates optional parts and quantities.
Multiplicity preference
Determines how many times the software repeats the nesting in the solution. Favoring repeated nesting might decrease the nesting efficiency, but can lower production costs due by reducing preparation times, part and material handling, and so forth. The following options are available: No, Little, Normal, Strong, and Aggressive.
Multi-torch preference
Determines how important the torch count is for nesting. If the edge nesting strategy uses a torch count greater than 1, the software automatically uses larger torch count in nesting. The following options are available: Weak, Average, and Strong.
Weak
Gives light preference for cutting time over losing material.
Average
Gives more preference for cutting time.
Strong
Returns solutions that strongly favor cutting time and use the maximum amount of torches.
Manual torch move
Minimizes changes to the torch count.
Considers the minimum distance when a border-to-border constraint applies.
