Editing an order differs from a quotation in the following aspects:
Selecting the Type of Order
Beside the search tool of the lower side, there is the option between Sales orders and Production orders. Sales orders are orders which have not been freed to the production. They can still be freely edited. Production orders are orders which have been freed to the production. Mainly, they cannot be edited anymore with Smart Production Sales.
Nesting of Positions
Sales nesting cannot be performed to order positions because they will be nested in the production.
Material Usage Estimations
For orders a material reservation need will be created, of which in later phases of the production becomes a reservation either of existing or of oncoming material.
Timing
For orders, a delivery date will be confirmed, and a timing plan done.
