Plate cutting and auxiliary time calculation have two different use cases. You can calculate the quotation/customer order plate cutting time before the final nesting to the parts. Alternatively, you can calculate the cutting time after the final nesting.

Quotation / Customer order item calculation

Cutting work phases (plasma, gas, laser, water) consist of the following tasks.

Cutting Reading Instructions:

Work Time =

Cutting Reading Instructions (C) / Part Count (OI)

Cutting Plate Lifting:

Work Time =

Plate lifting time (WG) according material plate weight / Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

Nozzle Setup:

Work Time =

Nozzle Setup Time, Gas (C) /
Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

or

Work Time =

Nozzle Setup Time, Laser (C) /
Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

or

Work Time =

Nozzle Setup Time, Plasma (C) /
Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

or

Work Time =

Nozzle Setup Time, Water (C) /
Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

CNC Time

If Quotation/Sales order plate part is not nested, the Cutting application creates a cutting path for one quotation/order item part. The cutting path contains all cutting operations such as piercing and rapid movements. Used NC-technology and nozzle count comes from the quotation/order item. Used NC-programming values are taken from the Machine Database.

If the Sales nesting and cutting path is done in the quotation and Sales order, then the part average cutting time is calculated from nesting.

Work Time = Average Cutting Time * Machine Factor (WP)

In Production Order, time comes from the Sold amount, or is calculated the same way as a Quotation/Sales order plate part that is not nested.

In Production Order, cutting work phase planned time is calculated according to final nesting.

Cutting Part Marking

Work Time = Cutting Part Marking (C)

Cutting Scrap Cleaning

Work Time =

Scrap Lifting Time (WG) according material plate weight /
Part count with same material inside quotation/order (OI)

Material order (nesting) calculation

These values are calculated when parts are nested. This calculation updates the material order item (nesting) cutting work phase.

Cutting Supplementary Time

You insert values in the System Settings application on the Work Place > Work Time Calculation tab.

Work Time =

Part picking time based on weight (WP) +
Manual Part Marking time (WP) +
(Work Instruction time (WP) / Material plate count (OI)) +
(Nozzle Handling time (WP) / Material plate count (OI)) +
Material Handling time (WP) +
Scrap Removal time (WP)

CNC Time Plate

Nesting is created in the Cutting application, and the cutting path contains all cutting operations like piercing, rapid movements and so forth. The used NC-programming values are taken from the Machine Database.
