If the Smart 3D short code does not exist, create the short code as described in this topic.

  1. Open the SP3D 10.08 Templates screen.

  2. Query for the SDB_CODELISTS template.

  3. In the Sheets block, click Enter query (or press F7), type Short% in the Sheet box, and click Run query (or press F8).

The ShortCodeHierarchy and ShortCodeHierarchyRule sheets appear.

  4. Review the ShortCodeHierarchy sheet, to see under which Short Code Hierarchy Class this fits (Inline Fittings or Miscellaneous).

  5. Scroll to the right to view the Short Code Hierarchy Type value.

SHARED Tip It’s recommended to use Other Inline Fittings so we do not need to add anything more here.

  6. Select the ShortCodeHierarchyRule sheet in the Sheets block.

No data appears in the Data block, because this sheet is maintained in the SDB_TEMPLATE template.

  7. Click in the Template box and query for SDB_TEMPLATE.

  8. In the Sheets block, click Enter query (or press F7), type Short% in the Sheet box, and click Run query (or press F8).

    The ShortCodeHierarchyRule sheet appears.

  9. In the Data block, find short codes with Other Inline Fittings as the ShortCodeHierarchyType value.

  10. Press F6 to insert a new row, press F4 to copy the row above, update the sequence number in the Seq box, and type Sight Glass in the ShortCode box.

  11. Click Save (or press F10) to save the new record.

Due to this change, you must export and load the sheet.
