  1. Click on SRD > Component Manager > Geometric Rules option.

  2. The Geometric Rule is used to automatically link the Geometric Table to the commodity code when the latter is created or updated.

    The screen has the following three sections:

    • Geometric Rule Code: specifies the Commodity Group / Part in the Rule Code impacted by the definition.

    • Geometric Rule Definition: specifies the relationship between the Commodity Group / Part, the Geometric Table and the valid size range. If the size range is not specified, all the sizes / schedules in the Geometric Table are considered valid.

    • Geometric Rule Definition Details: specifies the conditions via table details under which the Definition applies.

  3. When the commodity code is created or updated, all the Geometric Rule definitions and details are evaluated to determine which Geometric Table will be linked to it.
