Those who are responsible for maintaining specifications must also manage the revisions of the specifications.
On the Spec Management screen, the controls at the top allow you to step through the master records. The header area contains the display and revision options. The lower half of the screen shows the details for the current record.
To navigate to Spec Management screen,

Click SRD > Spec > Spec Management.
SRD allows two revisions cycles

Issue: Typically used to maintain minor revisions of the specification. Revising an issued specification results in the Version number being bumped up by 1.

Publish: Typically used to maintain major revisions of the specification. Only issued specs can be published. Revising a published specification results in Xrev being bumped up by 1 and Version being reset to 0.
