Follow the steps below to create a user,

  1. Click Administration > Access Creation.

  2. Select User.

    The software displays a list of default users. Do not delete the default users.

    The following are the defaults users created in WQMS:

    • WQMSAdminUser – Admin user has access to administration modules such as Access Control, Access Configuration, Reference Data modules, and Reports modules.

    • WQMSProductionUser -Production user has access to all inspection stages only in WQMS Fabrication site and can manage functionalities in Notice of Inspection tab.

    • WQMSQCUser – QC user has access to all inspection stages in WQMS Fabrication site and can manage functionalities in Report of Inspection tab in all inspection stages in WQMS Fabrication site.

    • WQMSSuperUser - Super user has access to all the modules in WQMS.

    • WQMSLeadUser - Lead user has access to all Lead modules such as LeadModule, Fitup LeadModule, and Construction LeadModules only in WQMS installation sites.

  3. Click Add Item to add a new row.

  4. Enter the following information:

    • Name - Specify the user’s name.

    • Description - Specify additional information about the user.

    • Login Name - Specify the log on name for this user.

    • Created By - Automatically generated by the system.

    • Last Updated Date - Automatically generated by the system.

  5. Click Save.

Create users with a loading template

You can create multiple users at a time using the user sheet in the WQMS_Users.xlsm file.

  1. In the file, enter the following data on the User sheet in the SPFLoginUser row:

    • UID - Specify the Unique Identification name for the user.

    • Name - Specify the name of the user.

    • Description - Provide a description of the user.

    • Login Name - Specify the login name of the user.

    • Password - Specify the password for the user.

    • Notification Type - Always set to e-mail.

    • IWQMSItem - Always set to TRUE.

    • ContainerID - Specify the container in which the property definitions are loaded into the server.

    • Solution(s) - Enter an asterisk *.

  2. Enter the following data in the SPFLoginUserDefaultRole row:

    • UID - Specify the Unique Identification name for SPFLoginUserDefaultRole relationship.

    • UID1 - Specify the UID of the user specified in SPFLoginUser row.

    • UID2 - Specify the UID of the default role given to the user, which must always be defined as RL_WQMSOrganisationWideDefault.

    • ContainerID - Specify the container in which property definitions are loaded into the server. The name of the container is WQMS.Security.

    • Solution(s) - Enter an asterisk *.

  3. Click Save.

  4. On the README sheet, click Create All Load Files. This creates xml and xmlldr files with the users and the default logon role.

  5. In the SPF Site Configuration Tool for Smart WQMS, select Include Custom Configuration and load the WQMS_Users.xmlldr file from WQMS_Users folder, which is located in the folder with the WQMS_Users.xlsm file.
