In this module, you can load the welds, assign welders to the weld, and then edit the properties (welding date and welding report number). After the details are saved, the weld is disabled for editing.

The first two welds performed by a welder are set as production welds for a project in a discipline. By default, these production welds will be sent to RTE inspection. To modify or configure the data related to production welds, refer to Configure the conditions for Production and Tracer welds.

  1. Click Welding.

  2. In the search bar, enter *, select any filter criteria, and click Refresh .

The software displays all the ISO/Drawing Numbers that satisfy the filter criteria.

If you want particular drawing numbers to be displayed in the ISO/Drawing No list:

    • Copy the ISO/Drawing numbers from the Excel sheet and paste them in the Search bar. After you paste the drawing numbers in the Search bar, they are separated with the | symbol.

For example, If you copy two drawing numbers from the Excel sheet and paste them in the Search bar, the drawing numbers appear as as HXN81X-S91011-IS030015|HXN81X-S91011-IS030016 separated with the | symbol.

    • In the Search bar, type the ISO/Drawing number in the format below:

*last two digits of the drawing number* or *Drawing number pattern*

For example, if the drawing number is HXN81X-S91011-IS030015, in the Search bar, type *15* or type *S91011*. Then only the drawing numbers related to the pattern will be displayed in the ISO/Drawing No list.

This is applicable to all the modules of Weld Quality Management System where ever there is a filter criteria for ISO/Drawing numbers.

  3. Select an ISO from the list, and all the welds on that ISO are displayed in the table.

  4. Select a weld and click Assign Welders .

  5. Click a weld, enter the following properties, and press Enter.

    • Welding date (this must always be greater than or equal to FUP date and less than today. If the weld does not FUP date, then the welding date must be less than today).

    • Welding Report No. (Welding Report No. is mandatory when you enter Welding Date and vice-versa)

Assigning a welder is mandatory for entering the welding date and the reporting numbers on a weld.

  6. Click Save to disable the weld.

  7. The following properties on a weld are read-only:

    • CWP No.

    • ISO No.

    • Joint No.

    • Revision

    • Size

    • Type

    • Thickness

    • SPEC

    • InchDia

    • Active

    • Heat No. 1

    • Heat No. 2

    • Fup Date

    • Status

    • Welder

  8. Click Load Data . Select the required file and click Open. This will not load any new welds into Weld Quality Management System, but updates any data on existing welds.

If they are any errors while loading the Excel file, for example, Welding Date is more than the current data, an Excel file or log file is displayed that shows the status (success or failure) of the row along with the description.

Assign Welders
