Administration and Configuration

Revision Management

  • The Smart Weld Quality Management System schema is now provided with new relationships between the following objects Weld and WelderAssignment, Welder and Welder Qualification, NOI objects to Welds components, Welds and ROI objects to Weld components, Welds. These relationships are added to support querying for objects using the Read APIs and they also allow navigation between the objects in the SmartPlant Foundation. (CR-CP-361413)

  • You can now create access groups to have WQMS data model inline with SPF data model to leverage the data security controls. This provides access controls to restrict access to the data (CR-CP- 365876). For more information, see Create Access Groups.

  • You can now use the default users, access roles, and access groups created in WQMS . For more information, see Create a User, Create a Role, and Create Access Groups.

  • The redundant weld component properties on the weld are now removed and you can load weld objects and weld components through two separate excel files by maintaining relationship between welds and components. (CR-CP-364988). For more information, see Load Piping Welds.

  • You can now manage weld component data specific to a discipline as Weld Component module is introduced under individual discipline- Piping and Structural. In Weld Components module for Structural discipline, you can edit, view, delete, and export weld components, whereas you can only export weld component data in Weld Components module for Piping discipline.(CR-CP-366306). For more information, see Load Weld Components and View Weld Components

  • Manage Field Welds feature is introduced that allows you to relate missing weld component to a field weld. You can add the second weld component data later in the project. This helps to continue the inspection instead of waiting for the complete data to be available. For more information, see Manage Field Welds section in Load Piping Welds.

  • Assign Manual Welds feature allows you to add additional welds and accommodate any changes made in the shop floor or site for the initial drawing revision. This feature is applicable for Fabrication-Piping discipline. For more information, see Assign Manual Weld section in View Weld Components.

  • The properties on the weld and weld components must be retrieved in a single module. For welds, the component properties must be retrieved based on the Component ID, so that the correct components and data is visible to the user. (CR-CP-364989)

  • You can now view the comparison between the new piping weld, weld component data and current data in WQMS when piping weld data is loaded into WQMS to create new welds and weld components when a certain property values(mentioned in the COS) are different in the input data relative to the data in WQMS, so that the changes made in the design phase of a project are passed to the fabrication phase of the project. (CR-CP-366103)

  • You can now compare the input weld and weld component data with the weld and weld component data in the system. You can create new welds and weld components in the system so that the changes made in the design phase are passed onto the fabrication phase of the project. CR-CP-366106

  • If any production weld is modified or deleted, then you can reassign another weld as production weld done by that particular welder. CR-CP-366108

  • In WQMS, revision scheme is created so that while loading the weld and weld component data, you can evaluate which is the higher version of the data based on the source of data (S3D or Spoolgen). CR-CP-366109

  • You can now export both weld and weld component data to be able to update any required properties on the exported data and import the data back into WQMS. CR-CP-366207.

  • A separate Weld component module for Piping and Structural discipline is now added so that you can manage the weld component data specific to a discipline. CR-CP-366306

  • You can now view the comparison between the input weld and weld component data with the weld and weld component data in the system and mark the missing welds and weld component in the input data with deleted status so that the changes made in the design phase are passed onto the fabrication phase of the project CR-CP-367831.

  • You can now add manual welds to a spool or line in WQMS so that the changes identified and done at the shop floor or site can be added to WQMS to continue inspection instead of waiting for the data to come from design team. CR-CP-370857.

  • You can now copy the column sets that are created for the properties onto the created manual welds and components so that the admin user can configure properties as required. CR-CP-371350

Lot Management

  • A new module is developed to view the lots specific to piping discipline so that the modules acts as a interface for the user to view the lots and their status in project. CR-CP-368623. For more information, see Manage and View Welds in Lot Management

  • The welds are grouped based on the grouping criteria and then lots are created based on the entries in the NDE matrix so that the admin user can define lot definitions per project. CR-CP-368629

  • You can now create Lots and welds can be assigned to them based on the conditions specified below. CR-CP-368983

    • Welds for which visual inspection is completed are only eligible to be added to a lot.

    • Lots should be created per welder and criteria mentioned in the NDT Matrix where lot size is also mentioned.

    • Welds done by multiple welders must be included in lots specific to each welder.

    • Each Lot should have a unique id.

    • The welds should be added to lots, once visual inspection is completed for the welds.

    • New lots must be created automatically when the number of welds in a lot reach the maximum size.

    • The lots must be generated by considering the criteria mentioned in the Project settings.

    • Production welds should not be included in a lot.

  • While creating a project, you can select the option If Lot Management is enabled for a project to enable lot management. CR-CP-368989. For more information, see Create a Project

  • The tracer or penalty welds must be selected within the lot of the rejected weld so that the weld rejection is according to ASME 31.3 Process piping. CR-CP-368991

  • The welds in a lot must be selected according to the NDT requirement so that the welds can be inspected as per the NDT requirement. CR-CP-368994

  • You can now additional welds for inspection in a rejected lot, so that based on the inspection results of the additional selected welds. the lot status can be updated. CR-CP-368995. For more information, see Select Additional welds or re-weld remaining welds

  • The status of the lot (open, closed, revised) is set based on certain conditions to manage welds automatically.CR-CP-369796. For more information, see Manage and View Welds in Lot Management

  • The spool must be released only if all the lots related to the welds in the selected spool are accepted so that spool release is inline with Lot Management to measure quality of welds in a project. CR-CP-369797

  • You can now configure the NDE assignment rule condition specific to a project. The lots should be created based on the project specific NDE Matrix and assignment rule. CR-CP-371033

  • The welds in a lot are selected according to the NDT requirement for the lot generation so that welds can be inspected as per the NDT requirement. CR-CP-372766

  • You can generate a report which shows the status of Lots. It helps you to track the progress of the project. CR-CP-372813

  • You can now have project specific column sets so that you can configure NDE matrix specific to a project according to the NDE Assignment logic. CR-CP-374129

  • In the lot management module, a new button 'Apply NDE' is added so that the you can close partially filled lots and also select welds for NDE if the Lot Closure status is revised. CR-CP-376012.

  • For the default projects, the Revision Management and Lot Management is enabled by default. CR-CP-376014

  • The lot acceptance status is set to Rejected, If the status of all the welds in a lot is either repair segmen, reweld, revised, or deleted. CR-CP-376023
