You manage changes to the Common Schema data model using the delivered Common Schema change management process. This process allows you to request, implement, and approve schema object changes, such as new properties or pick lists. You can track the status of the change request at each stage or return the change to a previous state for further work after review. When all the changes are approved, the Common Schema is regenerated for use by integration.

The Common Schema is only released to integration when all schema objects are in
the Approved state.
