You can load SDx authoring data into specified domains using Data Validator by creating a design component in the SDx Web Client. This is similar to the creation of a design component for an authoring tool when it is registered in SDx. This allows SDx to segregate data from different sources.
The Design Component Domain property available on the design component object is used to create a new set of tables in the SDx database. For example, for a design component named SDx Data Sheets Component with the design component value specified as SDxDataSheets, the following tables are created: SDxDataSheetsOBJ, SDxDataSheetsOBJIF, SDxDataSheetsOBJPR, SDxDataSheetsPRDETAIL, and SDxDataSheetsREL.
The newly created design component must be related to a Data Validator job definition in the Data Validator Administration module in the SDx Desktop Client to load the SDx authoring data into the new domain tables which are created during the Data Validator job processing.
If you do not relate any authoring design component to the job definition, the data
is loaded into the consolidated data set of tables.

Click Integration > Create Design Component.

Provide a name and description for the design component.

Specify the design component domain name in the Design Component Domain text box.

Select Is Authoring Design Component to distinguish the design component from a tool design component.
