In the Inventory tab of Inventory Management screen, you can do an inventory search by ident code, location, warehouse, receipt status, and heat number.

All inventory items appear in the Inventory grid. The inventory items are grouped by ident code, location, warehouse, receiving status, heat number, ident deviation, and inventory attributes.

To perform a search, click in the Search list, type the search string, and click Go.

For example, to search for a warehouse, type the name of the warehouse and click enter. All the inventory details of that warehouse will be displayed. Similarly, you can search for the location, receipt status, ident Code, and heat number.

Select an Ident Code from the Inventory section to display the Total By Ident Code. Total By Ident displays the sum of the total of On Hand Quantity, sum of Stock Receipt, sum of Reserved Quantity, and sum of Issued Quantity of the selected ident.

Click the ā€˜Stock Receiptā€™ hyperlink, to get the Inventory Stock details. The following quantity details will be displayed: MRR Receive, Overissue, Transfers, Physical Count, Design Change, Substitution/Transformation, Return Quantity.

In the Inventory Grid, the following quantities appear for the inventory items:

  • On Hand Quantity - Quantity of the material that is not reserved for issue. On-hand quantity = received quantity - reserved quantity - issued quantity.

  • Reserved Quantity - Quantity reserved for issue by forecast run or MIR. Click on the hyperlink in this field to open the Inventory Reservation window, which displays the forecast runs/MIRs for which the selected inventory item is reserved.

  • Issued Quantity - Quantity of the selected inventory item that was issued from the warehouse quantity. Click on the hyperlink in this field to open the Inventory Issue window, which displays the MIR numbers related to the selected inventory item. In this window, you can check when the material was issued, who did the issue, and who received the issued material.

  • Stock Receipt - Received quantity for the selected inventory item. Click on the hyperlink in this field, to open the Inventory Stock Details window, which displays the following quantity details - MRR Receive, Overissue, Transfers, Physical Count, Design Change, Substitution/Transformation, Return Quantity.

  • MRR Receive - Quantity received by MRR for the selected inventory item.

  • Over Issue - Quantity received by overissue for the selected inventory item.

  • Transfers - Quantity received by material transfer for the selected inventory item.

  • Physical Count - Quantity received by physical count for the selected inventory item.

  • Design Change - Quantity received by design change for the selected inventory item.

  • Subst./Trans. - Quantity received by substitution/transformation for the selected inventory item.

  • Return Quantity - Quantity returned for this inventory item by Return to Inventory.

In addition, the unit, tag number, heat number, and plate number of the inventory item appear.

To view the Ident Short description and ident deviation of the selected search list, click .

In case Heat Number exists for the Inventory Item, the related certificate number, manufacturer, and file location also appear here in the right collapsible panel.

The source of inventory item attributes is defined as group-by attributes with the MTO setup (Nodes and Templates screen & Material Take Off Jobs screen). When requisitions are created by an MTO job, attributes are derived from the BOM data. The resulting requisition line items are split up for each distinct attribute value. The attached attributes and their values are carried through all Smart Materials modules and appear on the requisition, procurement, and site screens. MTO attributes become inventory item attributes if the project default ZC_RCVATTR is set to Y. Otherwise, these attributes are not carried over to the inventory.
