The WQMS Web API authorization architecture consists of the following components:

WQMS Web API client or mobile application: Sends the user credentials to an authorization server.

Intergraph Smart API Manager (SAM) or Okta authorization server: Authenticates the user and issues an access token. The access token is used by the client application to interact with the application or resource server.

Smart® WQMS or SmartPlant Foundation Application Server (database): Accepts the access token along with the incoming URL requests and returns the results to the client application.
