Process is slow when retrieving a large number of documents (COM) - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 48 - Help - Hexagon

Problem

The performance of the software can be affected when you attempt to retrieve a large number of documents.

Solution

To prevent performance degradation in this situation, add the ConvertDateToClientFormat registry key, and set it to "0".

1. Add the ConvertDateToClientFormat registry key to the installed location of the SPClient in the registry on the client machine, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intergraph\SPF Framework Client\Current Version\ConvertDateToClientFormat.

2. Set the value of the new key to "0".

• This solution is for installations of the COM version of integration with SmartPlant Foundation only.

• We recommend this solution when you have a large number of documents to retrieve, and your time zone is not in daylight savings time. When the key is set to "0", the system will not apply the daylight savings conversion when showing the date and time for the published documents in the retrieve user interface. When ConvertDateToClientFormat is not present or has any value other than "0", the date conversion mechanism is applied as appropriate.
