Use one of the following options from a published document's shortcut menu to generate inconsistency reports in the background while you perform other tasks.

  • Inconsistency Report > Concurrent Engineering (Run in Background)

  • Inconsistency Report > Published Data (Run in Background)

Or you can use these commands from the SmartPlant menu to generate reports for all the published documents in your current query configuration:

  • Published Data Reports > All Inconsistencies (Run in Background)

  • Concurrent Engineering Data Reports > All Inconsistencies (Run in Background)

Using any of these commands creates a new task in the scheduler that can be seen when you query for scheduled tasks.

SHARED Tip If the scheduler task fails, retry it. For more information, see Creating an Inconsistency Report in the background fails.

Once the task is successfully completed, you will receive a notification with the file attached. Use the following steps to view the reports that were created.

  1. Right-click on the notification, and select Show Files.

  2. Right-click on the file, and click Save Target As.

  3. Save a local copy of the file. For more information, see Save a report in the Desktop Client.
