When you set the default application for a file type to Default (or leave the box blank) in the Desktop Client, the printing of that file type is handled by the Windows operating system. If there is no printto action defined for the file type in the operating system or if the action has incorrect parameters, printing does not occur.
Solution
Change the default program for a file type in Windows:

Click Start > Control Panel.

Type file type in the Search box, and press ENTER.

Click Make a file type always open in a specific program.

Select a file extension, and click Change program.

Select a program.
