What happens when you terminate a workflow?

When you terminate a workflow, it terminates the relationship between the object and the workflow. However, it does not terminate the object or the workflow. In addition:

  • Workflow history records the termination and the point in the workflow where it happened.

  • All historical information regarding steps processed prior to termination are saved.

  • All uncompleted steps in the workflow are terminated and removed from the To Do List for all users.

  1. Right-click an object, and click Workflow > Terminate Workflow.

  2. Type any comments in the Enter comments box, and click OK.
