When you terminate a workflow, it terminates the relationship between the object and
the workflow. However, it does not terminate the object or the workflow. In addition:
Workflow history records the termination and the point in the workflow where it happened.
All historical information regarding steps processed prior to termination are saved.
All uncompleted steps in the workflow are terminated and removed from the To Do List for all users.
Right-click an object, and click Workflow > Terminate Workflow.
Type any comments in the Enter comments box, and click OK.
