When ad hoc reports are created in the Desktop Client, you can select the view definition to be used as the basis for the report as well as the properties from that view definition to be included in the report.
View definitions are created and edited in the Schema Editor.
The following diagram shows the Method Access view definition displayed in the Schema Editor.
This form can be used to edit the object properties displayed, the displayed property names and the display order (using the Category box at the bottom of the screen).
The appropriate owner and owning group must be set to enable users to see the view
definition.
