The Files > View Alternate command allows you to view the alternate rendition file created from the attached file, if an alternate rendition has been generated. Alternate rendition files can be automatically generated from attached files if your administrator has configured alternate rendition for your system.
Alternate rendition generation is used to generate a viewable file of a different file type. Currently, PDF and other file types created by custom applications are configurable for output.
