Problem

After changing a domain name on the network, you are unable to connect to a server on the domain via the Desktop Client.

Solution

Review all objects in the configuration that are defined using fully qualified domain names, such as hosts, server names, IIS host names, and so forth. Update the settings with the new names, and recycle the application pools on the server.
