The following example explains how Smart P&ID supports minor revisions. This example creates a revision from a new P&ID document.

Select Revisions > New Revision.
If you logged on to the authoring tool with a user name that is not defined in the
integrated environment, you are prompted to log on when you use this command.

On the Revise dialog, select the revision scheme you want to use from the Revision Scheme list. In this example, Rev1A is the revision scheme.

In the Major list under Revise in Tool, select 1. This is the first available major revision number.

In the Minor list under Revise in Tool, select A. This is the first available minor revision number.

Revise the document and keep the Major revision number as 1.
The minor revision number is automatically incremented and becomes B.

Revise the document and change the Major revision number to 2.
The minor revision number begins again at A.
