Each authoring tool that is part of SmartPlant Enterprise has its own authoring tool SmartPlant adapter. Each adapter facilitates the sharing of data between the authoring tool and SmartPlant Foundation. The adapters generate XML files for publish operations and consume XML when tools retrieve documents.
