If you plan to distribute documents to manufacturers using external transmittals, you must create the manufacturer in the Desktop Client first.

Click File > New > Organization / Support Items > Manufacturer.
You must have document controller or administrator role privileges to access the
Organization / Support Items submenu.

Type a Name and Description for the manufacturer.

Provide other details of the manufacturer, as necessary.
An asterisk (*) indicates that an option is required to create a new object.

Click Finish to create the manufacturer.
