A workflow status is displayed on an object in a workflow to indicate how it is progressing through that workflow. The status is set on the object in the workflow at the completion of a step. This is configured on the workflow administration form.

Workflow status naming conventions
The status name appears in the list views of the workflow and the object. The following naming convention should be used.

Prefix with WF.

Keep the name short. (For example, WF-D.)

Type a description.
