The example activity item delivered with the core progress model is the vendor document. The activity item interface is the one that participates in the relationship to the parent activity.
Administrators can create their own Activity items (for example, an invoice) by attaching the activity item interface to it to create an activity item class.
Vendor document is not progress-specific.
